For each listed course, the course catalogue indicates the level of study for which the course is primarily suitable. An undergraduate student may enrol in a course designed for master’s level students, but it should be noted that the study course may be difficult for a student at a lower level of study and there is a risk that they may not successfully complete the course. Read carefully the description of the required entry knowledge ‘prerequisites’ for your chosen course.
There are many students interested in EuroTeQ elective courses, and the capacity of courses can be filled. In this case, students for whom the course is not primarily designated could be excluded from the course.
For each course listed, the course catalogue indicates the level of study for which the course is primarily appropriate. A student in a Master’s degree programme can enrol in a course designed for the Bachelor’s degree but may not receive credit for its successful completion due to the lower level of the course. All matters of credit recognition should be discussed with the Vice Dean for Studies of the department where the particular student studies.

The courses listed in the CTU catalogue are intended for students of partner universities. One of the aims of the project for students is to experience different teaching methods at other European universities, to cooperate with international classmates, and thus gain valuable experience for their future professional life. If you are interested in a CTU course in the catalogue and it is intended simultaneously for your type of study (Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree), you can register it as an elective course in the KOS system as a regular CTU student. There is no need to register via the EuroTeQ programme.
In general, the courses are intended for Bachelor or Master students. The course catalogue contains information about the level of study for which the course is primarily suitable. However, there are some courses suitable for doctoral studies. If you are interested in a course, please contact BcA. Karolína Zítková – karolina.zitkova@cvut.cz, who will check with the partner universities whether or not you can be listed as an interested student in the course.
Due to the relatively high interest of students in the elective courses offered and the possibility of capacity limits, students for whom the course is not intended primarily could be excluded from the course.
Course capacities should be sufficient, and we do not want students turned away for capacity reasons. The capacity of each course will be handled individually by each university after the application deadline. The home university (CTU) will nominate students for each course and the partner university will determine the student’s acceptance to the course.
Unfortunately, it can happen since this is a pilot operation. In the future, we would like to have a registration system, where schedules from home universities and EuroTeQ courses could be integrated to avoid collisions.
In the event of the scheduled collision of mandatory courses at CTU (home university) and EuroTeQ elective courses, students will study courses at home university primarily and EuroTeQ courses will be dropped without any effect on students’ studies.
It should also be noted that not all EuroTeQ courses run throughout the semester. Each course starts and ends individually and has a different number of lessons. It can give students more flexibility in their studies. Some subjects or parts of them can also be studied asynchronously (videos and other materials are available on the repository even outside the course dates). In the event that a scheduling conflict makes it impossible to continue with the EuroTeQ course, students are asked to notify the teacher, the coordinator of the home, and partner universities immediately.
